Steve Lavin on the Bench for the Johnnies

Queens, NY – After receiving surgery for prostate cancer on October 6, Steve Lavin makes his first appearance on the sideline for St. Johns this season during tonight’s home game against Lehigh in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. St. John’s is currently 1-0 on the season after defeating William & Mary on Monday night in the opening game of the regional tournament in Carnesecca Arena. Also tonight in the 2K Sports Classic which can be seen on ESPNU and watchespn.com is Akron traveling to Starkville to take on Mississippi State. The bulldogs defeated Eastern Kentucky on Monday night 76-66. Also tonight Texas A&M plays host to the Liberty Flames. The final game of the evening in this years 2K Sports Classic is taking place in Tuscon, Arizona home of the wildcats who will welcome in Duquesne from the A-10 conference. This game can be seen on ESPN2.
